Why Cardano?

Cardano was chosen as the platform to launch the Jesus 2 project for technological and sustainability reasons. Cardano uses a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, which is more energy-efficient than the proof-of-work system used by some other blockchains. Additionally, Cardano is built with a high level of security and smart contract functionality, which makes it a reliable platform to deploy further utility for the project.

By launching on Cardano, the Jesus 2 project aims to be at the forefront of bridging the gap between mainstream creative media and the Web3 space, and contribute to the growth and adoption of Cardano as a leading blockchain platform. It's important to note however, that we aren't blockchain maximalists and see the potential in all blockchains. For future drops, we are investigating the benefits of other blockchains including Polygon and Ethereum. With Jesse's professional background in animation, we believe that there is huge potential to grow our reach through cross-chain drops and collaborations.
